Roel Salinas has been working in the ministry setting since 2017; first as a campus minister, then as a children’s director, and finally as a social worker at a church serving people journeying through homelessness. He came on to staff at Cross of Life in the Fall of 2022. Prior to joining the staff team, Roel pursued a dual degree to get his Master of Divinity from Emory’s Candler School of Theology and his Master of Social Work from UGA, graduating in May of 2022.
He and his wife Maddy live in Little Five Points with their two cats and bearded dragon. Some of his hobbies include rock climbing, crocheting, and exploring the city. As the ministry coordinator, Roel works with the committee chairs to help execute their visions for their teams. He also helps in recruitment and leadership development.
