Now through June 18: Cross of Life will help MUST Ministries provide meals for students on summer break. Donations are needed for the meal kits. If you are able, please make packed meal kits including 10 drinks, 5 snacks, 5 breakfast items, 5 lunch items. Put the items in a brown bag and drop the bag off at the church office or the welcome desk. Ideas are below. Thank you for your support!

June 4: On the first Sunday of each month, all loose change in the offering plates is collected and sent to ELCA World Hunger.
June 5 – 9 (please register by May 26): Registration is open for Vacation Bible School! We can’t wait for another week of growing in faith with our VBS kids! Our theme for 2023 is “Stellar: Shine Jesus’s Light.” Kids will be launched on a cosmic quest where they’ll have a blast shining Jesus’s light to the world! Our VBS is open to members and non-members, so feel free to invite your friends. Click here for details and to register.
June 7: The Galing Foundation assists in providing educational resources to schools in the Philippines. On June 7, we will meet at Queen of Angels Catholic School in Roswell to help pack materials from 11am to 2pm. Come for all or part of the time. Thank you!
June 11: Cross of Life is hosting a luncheon that will give people an opportunity to connect with others on their grief journey, helping them to find support and build community. Lunch will be provided, there will be a time of fellowship, and a Stephen Minister will give a brief introduction to the free one-to-one care they offer those experiencing a difficult time in life. This luncheon is available to all who are experiencing loss, recent or otherwise. Please contact Roel at ministrycoordinator @ crossoflifelutheran.org if you are interested in attending.
June 18 – July 30: This summer we’ll be having a sermon series about questions people have about the Bible, faith, the church, etc., and people have submitted their questions. The series will be organized as follows:

- June 25 – The Problem of Evil
- July 2 – Salvation
- July 9 – Prayer
- July 16 – The Church (Mission and Purpose)
- July 23 – Forgiveness
- July 30 – Death, Heaven, and Hell
June 19: The COL Book Club rated last book, Lessons in Chemistry, at 4.5 out of 5. Will the next book, When the Moon Turns Blue by Pamela Terry, be as popular? Join us to find out! (Currently the Book Club is meeting on Zoom – contact the church office for the link.)
July 2: On July 2, we will have one combined worship service at 11am, followed by a picnic/cookout at 12:30pm. Cross of Life will provide the entree, and we are asking everyone to bring a side/dessert. To help us get an accurate headcount, please contact Roel at ministrycoordinator @ crossoflifelutheran.org if you are planning to join in.
October 29: Mark your calendars! You are invited to our 50th Anniversary Celebration! While our anniversary was on May 6, 2023, we will be celebrating on October 29 after our combined Reformation worship service at 11am. Details will be shared as they are available.
