SUMMARY:Feed the Homeless
DESCRIPTION:Our Feed the Homeless Day event is on Saturday\, September 19 and we will partner with other Lutheran congregations to distribute snacks\, toiletries\, and clothing donations to more than 300 people at a park in Atlanta. This service event is put on by the Lutheran Outreach Partnership (a coalition of ELCA and LCMS churches) to help Stepping Stone Mission. \nThis year we specifically request donations of men’s and women’s walking shoes\, rolling suitcases\, new packages of underwear\, shampoo\, and deodorant. We also accept clean used clothing and appreciate cash donations to help us purchase needed items. Donated dry goods will be collected at the church. DESCRIPTION:Saturday\, August 22nd\, 9:00AM-2:15PM \nLutheran Church of the Resurrection at 4814 Paper Mill Rd SE\, Marietta\, GA 30067\n$15 a person\, register by August 16th \nThe Southeastern Synod has been leading revival workshops all over Alabama\, Mississippi\, Tennessee\, and Georgia.  The one closest to our congregation will take place in Marietta.  These are open to all lay members of the Church\, confirmed youth\, and young adults.  In fact\, the Synod would love it if they could have at least 5-10 people from each congregation participate.  The three workshops look at reviving hospitality\, discipleship\, and worship\, and attendees will have the opportunity to participate in all three.  Registration is now closed for this event.

DESCRIPTION:Retirement Celebration\nSaturday\, April 18th\, 5pm – 8pm\nAt 5pm we will have a brief program and slideshow honoring Pastor Terri’s 33 years of ministry.  We will have some time in between for socialization before a celebratory dinner at 6pm.  (Reservations are no longer being taken.) \nPastor Terri’s Final Worship Service and Dessert Reception\nSunday\, April 19th\, 10am\nWe will gather for a combined worship service at 10am on Pastor Terri’s last Sunday with us.  In addition to our regular worship service\, we will also have a liturgy used for the conclusion of a pastor’s call to ministry\, which will take place at the end of the service.  A dessert reception will follow in the fellowship hall. DESCRIPTION:The 2026 Annual Men’s Gathering has been rescheduled for March 13 – 15 at the Lake Chatuge Lodge in Hiawasee\, GA. Registration is open and space is limited. Rooms are $89 per night or $109 per night for a room with a view of the lake. Saturday night’s dinner is $37 per person. \nThe focus of the gathering will be based on Soul Keeping: Caring for the Most Important Part of You by John Ortberg. \nThe weekend will be a mixture of facilitator-led discussion\, small group break-outs\, and plenty of social time to catch up and get to know one another better.
