DESCRIPTION:You are invited to gather for dinner and worship each Wednesday evening during Advent. \n\nDecember 3\, 10\, and 17\nDinner at 5:30PM and Holden Evening Prayer at 6:15PM\nDinner is free and all are welcome\n\nThis year we will take a closer look at how to be an Apprentice to Jesus – someone who learns from the Master by observing\, helping\, then doing. “Practicing the Way” by Pastor John Mark Comer will be used as a backdrop. There is no requirement to purchase\, but on Wednesday evenings we will only get a glimpse into this highly impactful book. \nThis series will be followed by a 2026 Lenten series based on Comer’s book entitled “The Ruthless Elimination of Hurry” which will include numerous opportunities for small group studies.

DESCRIPTION:Join in the fun at Cross of Life’s Trunk & Treat on October 26 from 4pm – 6pm! 1000 Hembree Rd\, Roswell GA 30076 \n\nTrunk & Treat\nChili Cook-off\nGames and a Bounce House\n\nPlease RSVP below or on our Facebook event page and share to your own page to help us spread the word! \nItinerary for the evening \n\n3:45pm – 4:15pm: Cars arrive to begin setting up for Trunk-or-Treat\n4:00pm – 5:00pm: Minute-to-win-it games and bounce house set up and ready to go\n4:15pm – 4:50pm: Trunk-or-Treating begins\n5:00pm – 6:00pm: Chili Cook-Off Begins\n\nTrunk-or-Treat details \n\nSet up between 3:45pm – 4:15pm (area will be roped off at 4:15pm)\nChildren will go through at 4:30pm\nLocal businesses and nonprofits are welcome to participate!\n\nRules for Participating \n\nCars must arrive by 4:15pm to participate\nNo scary trunk displays or costumes allowed\nAll car trunks and treats will be inspected before the event begins\nAn adult must be with the vehicle throughout the event\nTeams are welcome!\nSign-ups must be completed by Friday\, October 24th\n\nClick here to sign up to register your car \nChili Cook-Off \n\nBring your pot of chili for judging (prepared ahead of time – no cooking on-site)\nInclude a list of ingredients to be mindful of people’s allergies\nPrizes for spiciest\, best all-around\, and people’s choice\n\nRules for Participating \n\nA minimum of 1 gallon of made from scratch chili must be cooked\, ready to eat\, and ready to be judged.\nChili must be prepared in a sanitary manner and must be kept at a minimum of 140 degrees and covered with a lid when not serving.\nAll ingredients must be edible and readily purchased at a major grocery store and contestants must provide a list of ingredients on display at the table.\nContestants should be willing/able to sample his/her own chili.\nEach contestant will be assigned a contestant number for anonymous judging.\nContestants must agree to the terms that the public will be consuming the chili at the event.\nChili may be brought to the church as early as 3pm but no later than 4pm.\nTeams are welcome!\nSign-ups must be completed by Friday\, October 24th.\n\nPlease click here to register to make chili.
