Through God’s unconditional love made known in authentic community, inspiring worship, and meaningful service, we connect with the distracted, disillusioned and detached.

 The Heart of the Call
We live in a world of constant distraction from that which is most important, disillusionment with the church and social institutions, detachment from authentic relationships with God, one another, even ourselves.  God’s gifts of unconditional love, constant forgiveness and Christian community meet these needs.  These are gifts that we share through inspiring worship, on-going exploration of faith’s deepest questions and meaningful service.

Core Beliefs
+ We believe in the Holy Trinity: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
+ We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, Word made flesh.
+ We believe that we are saved by the grace of God through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
+ We believe that Christians are both saint and sinner simultaneously – fully saved and embraced by Jesus and fully in bondage to sin.
+ We believe that the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are the written Word of God, inspired by God’s Spirit speaking through their authors to serve as the authoritative source and norm of our proclamation, faith and life.
+ We believe that the Sacraments of Holy Baptism and Holy Communion are means of grace, actions commanded by God through which Jesus promises salvation and forgiveness.
+ We believe that Christ’s body and blood is really present in the communion meal and the table is open to all the baptized.
+ We believe in the Priesthood of All Believers – that all people have been given gifts to use to God’s glory, and that God is directly available to all people in prayer.
+ We believe that pastors should be educated and are accountable to provide the church guidance and nurture as we all make Christ known.
+ We believe that God has spoken through the church throughout the ages, and we are guided by Lutheran doctrine expressed in the Creeds, Augsburg Confession and Book of Concord.
+ We believe that Lutherans are one part of the Body of Christ, and recognize as fellow Christians all who profess faith in the Holy Trinity and salvation through Jesus Christ.

Values
+ Worship life is a priority for our Pastor, members and visitors. We seek to provide worship that is liturgical, flexible, relevant, scripturally based, and seasonal, with music and leadership that is inspirational and reflects our reverence for God.
+ Believing that all people are created equal by God, we strive to provide a safe, nonjudgmental place where all are welcome and find their part in our ministries.
+ We value the experience of each generation, seeking to extend God’s call and compassion to all.
+ As we seek to live out Christ’s mercy and compassion, we are mutual partners in the Gospel with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, the Southeastern Synod, neighboring congregations and global/community agencies.
+ We strive to embrace paradox (including Law and Gospel, Saint and Sinner, Theology of the Cross and Theology of Glory) and diversity of theological, political, and social thought – we are richer through our differences.
+ Stewardship is a way of life – being good stewards of all the resources God has placed in our charge (time, talent, treasures, the gift of creation). We give as an act of worship. We teach tithing (10%) as individuals and a congregation.
+ We seek to educate and equip members to claim their personal ministry in order to live out their faith in daily life, making Christ known to themselves and others.
