In addition to Adult Sunday School and formal study groups (click here to go to the “Mid-Week Studies” page), Cross of Life has a number of small groups meeting year-round for a variety of purposes, including:

Men’s Weekly Bible Study — gathering in the Adult Center each Monday night at 7:00, this group studies books of the Bible and books about the Bible or theological interpretation.  All are welcome to join the conversation.
Monthly Men’s Group — meeting one Saturday a month at 9:00 a.m. for fellowship and to talk about the challenges of living out our faith.
Quilting Group — meeting each Tuesday to make quilts for Lutheran World Relief
Contemporary Band, Chancel Choir, and Hand Bells — while they have a designated purpose, each ensemble provides a small group connection for its members.
Friday Fixers –twice a month, the Friday Fixers meet for lunch at a local restaurant, enjoy great food and fellowship and then come tackle “honey do” projects at the church.
Book Club — meeting on the 3rd Tuesday of each month, they discuss assigned books and share in great fellowship.
Lunch Bunch — meeting once a month or more, this group gathers in local restaurants for faithful conversation and friendship.
Stitch and Pray — this group meets regularly to knit and crochet prayer shawls, baptismal shawls, chemo caps, and other items for charity, all while they pray for the recipients.

During Lent in 2017, 8 small groups with over 80 participants met to talk about Martin Luther’s Small Catechism and how his perspectives on the basic of the Christian faith still applied to our lives today.  The previous year, our Lenten small groups focused on our 2016 Lenten theme of Simplify.  Copies of the daily Simplify devotions are available here:  Daily Devotions.
