Cross of Life is part of the Lutheran Coalition for Habitat for Humanity and seeks to build a home each year. Volunteers offer both skilled and less-skilled labor, provide lunch for builders and get to know the receiving family with whom they work side-by-side.
In Spring 2017, we helped build a new home in Ackworth for a single mom and her two children, ages 8 and 9. This was the 27th Habitat Home which Cross of Life has helped build. We are grateful for the many volunteers, all with a variety of skills and levels of expertise, who helped make this another success. This build was co-sponsored by Thrivent Financial and the Lutheran Coalition for Habitat for Humanity, under the oversight of North Central Georgia Habitat for Humanity.
