As a part of our ongoing celebration of the 500th anniversary of the Reformation, we are offering a series of Reformation-themed classes during the Connections Hour on Sunday mornings.  These classes will meet in the Conference Room and are open to all adults.  The series starts the week after Connections Sunday and runs up to Reformation Sunday.  You are welcome to come to one or all or anywhere in between.  Come join us as we continue to celebrate how God is working in the world through God’s church.

Religion expert Phyllis Tickle argues that the church has a pattern of big transitions that lead to important change.  Pastor David will give an overview of her book, “The Great Emergence.”

We’ll attend the Town Hall Meeting to hear more about Pastor Terri’s sabbatical

The 95 Theses – Part One
COL member Tom Cobb will lead an overview of Martin Luther’s famous 95 Theses that helped trigger the Reformation.

The 95 Theses – Part Two
Tom Cobb will continue the overview of these important Reformation documents.

OCTOBER 8
Women of the Reformation
Pastor Terri will discuss the life of Katie Luther, Martin Luther’s wife, and the role she played in the Reformation.

OCTOBER 15
Women of the Reformation
Deacon Mary will talk about other women who played important roles in the Reformation.

OCTOBER 22
Reformation Theology
Pastor Terri will lead a Q&A session about what Lutherans believe.
