Who: Families with kids age 3- Fifth grade. This is a family event; at least one adult is expected to stay and participate with your child(ren). Older siblings are also welcome to participate or can sign up to be part of our ‘stage crew’. Please contact Deacon Mary about this. Friends are welcome!
What: Last year we tried out a new type of Christmas Program, and this year we are putting our own spin on it. We will have another ‘Instant Christmas Program’, in which families participate together.
- How it works: you will spend an hour with your ‘Scene group’ doing a devotion, learning a familiar Christmas song, and doing a craft that will become a prop in the play. Then all participants sit in the audience, and come up when it is time for their scene.
- This format allows you to spend time together as a family, allows visitors to participate, and makes lengthy rehearsals and memorization unnecessary. Last year we purchased a script, but this year we will be using a more traditional version of the Christmas story.
When: Participating families (at least one parent/grandparent/guardian is required to participate the whole time) arrive to check in at 2:45. From 3-4:00 you will prepare your scene. The program is at 4:00 followed by a brief reception. The event ends at 5:00.
Where: Check in at the Fellowship Hall. The program will be in the Sanctuary.
